The voice department offers a wide range of studies on the undergraduate and graduate levels. Students may major in vocal performance, or study voice as an applied major in any of the non-performance programs offered. Courses include applied music, vocal coaching, stagecraft and movement, along with diction and repertory in four languages.

Vocal students seeking additional experience may take advantage of credit-earning internships with local musical organizations. Students seeking further professional training may consider the Ezio Pinza Council (EPCASO) summer program in Italy or the Artist Diploma Program after completing undergraduate work. These advanced programs often provide exposure to master classes, symposia and lectures featuring major guest artists.
