Founder and conductor Laureate, Pittsburgh New Music Ensemble. Recipient, Guggenheim Fellowship, five National Endowment for the Arts fellowships; five fellowships, Pennsylvania Council on the Arts; Pittsburgh Cultural Trust Creative Achievement Award. Former, composer-in-residence, Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, Seattle Symphony Orchestra. Compositions performed throughout the United States, Europe, Mexico, Australia, Korea. Guest conductor, throughout United States, Australia, Mexico, and Poland.
